Senator Clark Kent has been feeling the breath of his opponent on his neck for some time now. Feeling his campaign needs a competitive advantage his staff reaches out for VoterBlast.
Senator Kent is due to debate his opponent on October 5, two days form now. He fears that the rally scheduled just before the event will be a bust. He decides on a quick strategy to guarantee his success:
October 3: Senator Kent customizes an outbound IVR broadcast polling the voters on their key concerns in this year’s debate.
Meanwhile: Lois, his campaign manager, creates a HTML email marketing blast asking for support and encouraging attendance at the rally. In this email she asks for phone numbers and permission to contact supporters for campaign updates.
October 4: The day before the debate Senator Kent records a “Rally for Support” voice broadcast and blasts it to his constituents encouraging them to attend the rally.
Meanwhile: The Kent camp has been monitoring daily the results of the IVR (Integrated Voice Response) poll and has a new strategic direction that will match the voter’s responses.
October 5: Debate day (D-Day). A freak rain storm has marred the rally site. A change in venue is determined. Lois acts quickly and sends a SMS text message alert to the volunteers and staff. Senator Kent records a quick voice broadcast noting the change of venue and quickly launches it. Lois also reacts with a quick email marketing blast which has now created a three prong communication increasing dramatically the success of the rally.
October 6: Following the rally Senator Kent’s team edits video sound bites from the taped footage into short informative podcasts. The podcasts are delivered electronically to his supporters.
November 8: Senator Kent launches his final voice broadcast thanking all of his supporters for casting their winning vote for 2006!
